Ormonde House

PROJECT BRIEF
Ormonde House is located close to St Stephen’s Green in Dublin City Centre and presents a Neo-Georgian street façade across a multi-level urban building.
The property extends over six floors, including Lower Basement, Basement, Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor, and Third Floor. The survey drawings were to be used by the architects and design team for an extensive refurbishment of the internals.
Survey Requirement
AltiGeo was engaged to carry out a measured building survey of the full property. As the building was not in active use during the survey period, the team was able to progress through the floors in a structured manner and capture the existing layout with minimal access restrictions.
LiDAR Capture
The internal spaces were scanned using a Leica BLK360, recording rooms, corridors, stair cores, openings, floor levels, and key internal features. The external elevations and surrounding building fabric were captured using a Leica RTC360, providing a complete internal and external survey dataset.
CAD Production
The registered survey dataset was used by AltiGeo’s CAD team to prepare measured building survey drawings of the existing building. This provided the client and design team with an accurate as-built record of the property for future design and coordination works.
